XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Today's V/A focus is that funny and educational show from WB, Histeria. A show with a crazy cast that teaches us about history with crazy comedy skits and neat original songs. It reminds me of the Electric Company and Schoolhouse Rock. The show was created by Animaniacs writer, Tom Ruegger. Tom's three sons even provide voices on the show.

Wow... Steven Spielberg just about used the same artists for all of his shows, didn't he?

Wow... Steven Spielberg just about used the same artists for all of his shows, didn't he?

Steven Speilberg did not produce or executive produce this with Amblin Entertainment in anyway. It was all just Warner brothers this time out. Of course, let's not forget that a lot of people who worked on those Steven Speilberg Presents shows worked on this, so that's the source of confusion.

I also want to add, Rob Paulsen actually did the voice of Lucky Bob on occasion, but only once or twice to do one line.

I believe Billy West also did the voice of William Tercumsuh (sp?) Sherman, with a hillarious impersonation of Pee Wee Herman. Someone else did his singing voice in an impersonation of Ray Charels to do the "Atlanta" number.

I think jeff Bennet did Leonardo DiVinci's voice on one occassion, when he only had one line.

And I loved Frank Welker's father time voice. The character would change voices every so often. Appearing as King Solomon, he did a dead on impersonation of Bill Cosby (He indeed would play a caracature of Bill Cosby as well, in a send up of Bill Clinton selling nights in the Lincon Bedroom).

Also, Tom's sons were great with voices on Histeria.

Nathan, who voiced Baby Plucky and Skippy Squirrel, did the frog sounding voice of Froggo.

Luke, who voiced The Flame on Animaniacs, did the gurgling baby noises of Big Fat Baby, along with some guest voices like Billy the Kid.

And Cody, who voiced the little blue bird on Animaniacs, was funny when he was screaming as Loud Kiddington.

Also, originally the Warner Siblings were going to be three brothers, based on Tom's sons, but the network suggested they'd be two brothers and a sister. At first Cody was disappointed that his character was changed into a girl, but now he loves Dot.
