No, Dwayne. :stick_out_tongue:

Is they another way to pronounce hey? I say hey or hi, or sometimes "salut!" to my french friends (it's pronounced sa-LOO, no "t")

Bonjour is the proper way of saying Hello, it literally translates as "good day". Salut is slang, short form; like saying Hey. It's a Quebec thing.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I thought other countries had some kind of law that prohibited the inventing of slang words or phrases in their vocabulary?

Seems like I remember learning in Grade 8 Reading or English classes that the English language is so hard to learn because we keep creating all these new slang words and phrases so much it get confusing to those who don't speak the language, hence why other countries supposedly make slang illegal in their vocabularies.

But then again, that could've been another one of those weird, freaky-deaky, acid-trippy, Krofft-like dreams I have on a recurring basis.

*bursts out laughing* What do they TEACH you in school? ! ? You asked me before if Canadians don't have enough room to deliver babies or something strange like that. **shakes her head** Sorry matey, but sometimes you say really bizarre things. You need to question what you are taught a little more!

Everywhere has their own slang and dialect. I don't know about other languages, maybe it's not encouraged, but I don't think that's something that can be made illegal. And at least for the english language, the states would be the worst offender 'cause at least MY country uses proper british spelling. :stick_out_tongue:

Absolutely nothing that you'll need to know or use in your futures.

Oh yeah, I remember that, but I think I was joking because I remember you saying something about some women in Canada traveling to the States to give birth or something... lol, you're memory's better than what mine USED to be, lol!

You're right... TEACHER? If I'm going to spend the rest of my life giving puppets prostate exams, then WHY do I need to know the chemical equations of all the elements on the periodic table?

That would make more sense anyway. Heck, I can't even keep up with my country's own slang anyway, but then again, I don't get out much.
