Herry with a BLUE nose!

During my big Winter break of the year, 2002, I watched a couple of skits with Herry Monster with a blue nose! The only skits I only saw are...

1) The one where he wants the triangle. First, he spotted a rectangle, but Grover thinks that it's not a triangle. So Herry spotted a square, but Grover STILL thinks that it's not a triangle and Herry became frustrated. Grover suddenly has an idea is that Herry would use the scissors to cut halfs of the square, so he did and made two triangles. I saw that on a couple of the Play With Me Sesame shows.
2) The one where Grover is going to surprise Ernie. He tried to yell, "SURPRISE!" slowly many times until he yells "SURPRISE!" loudly, and...Herry dresses like Ernie! He wore Ernie's hair and his sweater! I remember seeing that sketch on the Rainstorm episode from 1972 on Sesame Street Unpaved.

Anybody remember these skits and do you remember the other skits with Herry wearing a blue nose?

i remember the one where Ernie and Bert are fighting over a chair, then they decide to share it and both sit in it cuz theres enough room, then Herry comes in and wants to sit in it too, so they try to make room for him. and yes he had a blue nose. i wuz like 3 when i saw it and i said "Mommy, why is herry with a blue nose?"

And don't forget the "Circles" song he did with Cookie.

I have one where it's Herry, Grover, and the little pink female monster saying "One... Two... Three... Three monsters", then running around to a rapid drum beat and switching places. Repeat.

I never ask my mom why Herry had a blue nose during my break, but I'm asking any of you!

Guys, why does Herry had a blue nose?

because he started with a blue nose and they lost it and gave him a purple one....that wuz a wild guess

Hey! Do you remember these?

1) the one where a little green girl muppet and a little purple boy muppet fight over jellybeans then they go to the trash can and they see Herry in a blue nose!

2) I remember the pic of him in a blue nose as he meets Grover in one of the Sesame Street dictionary series books

3) the one where Prairie Dawn demostrates with Grover, Herry and Cookie. Anybody tell me more about it?

4) The Amazing Mumford tries to make the lady muppet dissapear then he suddenly changes her into Herry, yes, in a blue nose yelling "SURPRISE!"

Herry Monster had a blue nose for the 1970-1971 season, and then gained a purple one after that.

Remember that skit with Herry and John-John doing "up and down"? That was done in 1972.

So blue-nose Herry only existed for a short while.

If you ever see the Muppet Alphabet Album from 1971, you'll see a drawing of all the Muppets at that time, and Herry has a blue nose.

Herry with a blue and fuzzy nose looks so weird. When he'd look straight at the camera, it looked like he had no nose at all. I miss that original look.

That's probably why they changed it. In fact, that's why they changed the looks of all the characters from the very early stages of Sesame Street. People thought they were too ugly.
