Herry is holding up a sign that reads "NO". He walks up to Ernie and, with the sign facing the other way:

H: I bet I can make you say this word.
E: No you can't!

Gotcha! Ernie said the word on the sign, right on cue. Ernie decides that's a good trick so he asks to borrow the sign and play the trick on Bert. When Bert happens by, it went something like:

E: I bet I can make you say this word.
B: (Gets a good look at the printed side of the sign) Oh, that word?... Well I doubt it Ernie, but, go ahead and try.
E: (silent, confused)
B: You know, go ahead. (pause) I bet I could make YOU say that word.
E: No you couldn't.
B: (trademarked machine-gun laugh) Ha, you said it. N-O No.
E: No, that doesn't count!
B: (laughing continues)
E: No, that's not fair!
B: (laughing continues)
(plus variations of the above)
E: NO! (pounds fist on wall) NO!

Closing music? Not sure.

Yeah, I remembered Herry doing it to Ernie, but I forgot about the part with Bert. Kind of strange how Bert turned the tables on Ernie in that one, considering it's usually Ernie who has the last laugh. About the year, I don't remember. I've seen it some time in the 80s, but I'm not sure exactly when.
