I go back to school the 19th but am not sure if I should be looking forward to going back. Last year, there was a new girl in my class named Claire and I immediately fell in love. She said she wanted to be just friends, which I was okay with. A month after that, she started dating a guy who is an ugly jerk, yet she thinks he's SOOO sexy.
So, as the year went on, as much as I tried to deny it, I realized I was still in love with her and that we would've been so right for each other. Her dad is a missionary and she told everyone she was going to Egypt, which I thought would be good so that I could move on. So, I find out that she is coming back to school this year and I'm nervous to go back to the emotional abuse that I had to put with last year. And I don't think her and her signicicant other have any plans to break up, because sometime in October will be their 1 year anniversary as a couple, which I know my class is going to make a big deal out of.
So, can anybody help me to feel better about this? Thanks!

I noticed they were avoiding each other; I had hoped it was true, and it is. So, now I'm in quite a pickle; should I ask her out again(probably not, she'd just say "no"), or should I just "close the door and walk away"(Avenue Q reference
