This time, it's another "Sesame Street"/"Muppet Show" crossover. And I'm going to put someone special in here...
OF NOTE: This "Here is Your Life" sketch is pretty different from most others:
ANNOUNCER: And now, it's time for everyone's favorite reunion show, Here is Your Life.
(audience cheers)
ANNOUNCER: Here is your Here is Your Life host, Guy Smiley!
(audience cheers loudly)
GUY: SSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHH! (whispers) I'm here inside this very old theater where I'm about to give someone the surprise of his life! He should come out from the curtains any second now.
(cut to Scooter giving Kermit his breakfast)
SCOOTER: Here's your breakfast, boss!
KERMIT: Thanks, Scooter. You're the best go-fer I ever had, and Bean Bunny doesn't come close.
(Bean Bunny is heard sniffling in the background)
KERMIT: Sorry, Bean!
GUY: (still whispering) Pardon me, sir, but is your name Scooter?
SCOOTER: Uh, yeah, Mr. Smiley. But I haven't booked you for next week's Muppet Show.
GUY: I'm not here to be on the Muppet Show. I'm here to say (shouts) SCOOTER, HERE IS YOUR LIFE!
(music plays)
SCOOTER: Are you serious?
GUY: Yes, I am, Scooter!
SCOOTER: This is for real?
GUY: Yes!
SCOOTER: Oh, wow! Wait 'til I tell Kermit that!
(music stops)
GUY: Now, normally, Scooter, we have two friends you haven't met in a long time come in before we get to our super-special heartbreaking story, but I can see you already have almost all of them with you.
SCOOTER: That's true. I do miss one person, though.
GUY: And who would that be, Scooter?
SCOOTER: (begins to cry) My twin sister, Skeeter!
GUY: I think I know what happened here, based on what Kermit tells me. It all started many years ago. You and Skeeter were one very happy set of twin siblings. You were in fascination with the computer and your sister loved sports. Often, you would fight and argue, but you always loved each other. But then, one fateful day, while you were getting ready for your first episode of The Muppet Show, your sister was prepared for a trip to the Amazon, where she was going to learn about the forest, river, and all of Brazil's native culture. She was supposed to be back in about a week, but you never got word from her. Week after week, for about a year, you and your uncle J.P. went to look for her, but got no luck in finding Skeeter. Just when all hope seemed lost, last week, one of our producers located someone who looked like you in the Amazon, only it was a girl. We happened to fly her into London to see you for the first time in years! (During his speech, we see Scooter and Skeeter in baby form, as well as J.P. himself)
SCOOTER: Oh no!
GUY: Yes, Scooter! Do you remember this voice?
(A Red Fraggle-like voice is heard): My brother was always the brainy computer nerd, and I had dreams of becoming a member of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team. I would always have to practice my sports while Scooter was always being involved with his friends' fantasies. Of course, I got involved in these myself, but he and I always got in a fight, yet we still love each other, and we've missed each other too long! (cries a little) I miss you, Scooter!
SCOOTER: Wait a minute, it's not, th-th-that can't be--
SCOOTER'S FRIENDS: But we think it's--
GUY: Yes it is! After all these years, we finally found her, your long-lost twin sister, Skeeter!
SCOOTER: (gasps) SKEETER!
(An adult Skeeter Muppet with red hair sticking to the sides is then seen coming from the sides of the stage, clad in a green shirt, dark pink eyeglasses, brown skirt, white stockings, and black closed-toe buckle shoes. She runs up to her brother and gives him a hug!)
SCOOTER: I missed you so much, Skeeter!
SKEETER: I missed you too, Scooter! Hey, everybody!
KERMIT: Oh, wow! It's Skeeter! Good to see you, old friend!
SKEETER: I'm glad to see you too, Kermit (hugs and gives Kermit a big kiss)!
MISS PIGGY: (angrily, from off-stage) Were vous kissing moi's frog, Skeeter?
KERMIT: I don't know how she does that...
GUY: Yes, that's right! We found Skeeter located inside a big temple in the Amazon Jungle, and she couldn't even find her way out! But now, she's finally home, and to remember this occasion, Scooter, we will give you and your sister some charm bracelets, and a visit to your old nursery!
SCOOTER & SKEETER: Thank you, Guy! (They start to cry again)
GUY: Join us again next time for another episode of Here is Your Life! Good-bye, everybody!
(music plays for a few seconds, then fades out)
WALDORF: You know, that little girl looks awfully familiar.
STATLER: Yeah, I know! It's a Scooter clone as a drag queen!
S & W: Doh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!
