Update: 9/21/03
Yesterday (9/20/03) Muley joined the characters of Mascot Central for the Variety Charity, which contributes to all sorts of children's charities.
94.1 The Buzz--sponsors of the annual Nightmarez! Haunted Attraction and the station where our own RadioNate works--was there.
The ponit of the event was to Pull a Plane--a FedEx 727 Jet--12 feet in under 8 seconds. We more than succeeded in pulling the plane, and me in pulling a groin.
Just kiddin.
There was a group of 'special kids' that were there and when they started to pull the plane, all the mascots ran out and began helping them to pull the plane.
When the little truck came out to push the plane back into place, I started at the end of the runway beside him and we raced each other back to the plane and the audience was going wild cheering for Muley to win! LOL!! It was great.
We all also got coerced into dancing--in the heat--by Jim Jaggers, a local weatherman and who was emceeing the event. "While we wait on the preperation of the plane, we'll watch the mascots dance!"
Of course, in those hot suits in the sun, you do NOT want to do that...especailly not after running around already and visiting with the folks and playing with the kids--but, we did it. It was great.
There was a huge turnout and t'was tons o' fun.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled lives.
