February is always a big month for Muley the Mule and myself. Photos from last year’s Celebrity Waiter Night, Leather Ball at Gibson Guitar Factory, and Rock 103 RadioThon are at www.midsouthcartoonists.com in the photo gallery.

February 4 was this year’s Celebrity Waiter Night. Muley was, again, Maitre’D. For the whole sum of hours from 5:35 pm until 9:15 pm he was at all times heads-up!! Needless to say, his back bone and my right shoulder are in pain!! Nevertheless, we had a great time. He was hit on by girls ALL the evening, 2 guys hit on him, too. One guy was so drunk he was mistaken as a girl. There was one old codger there to whom Muley asked: “Anything I can do for you?” Old Codger: “Yeah, go away!” That was the only bad guy.

In attendance this year was Rock 103’s Wake-Up Crew (Tim Spencer, Bev Hart, Bad Dog), and half of 103’s afternoon DJs, Zeke Logan. Also: Leon Griffin and Tom Dees from Fox 13 news, several folks from am 690 radio, Coach Doug Shedden (Memphis Riverkings, played in NHL with the Maple Leafs), Joe Larkins from Channel 3 News, some players from Memphis Blast (a small time football league team).

Also came some fursuits: Memphis RiverKings’ Sheldon and RiverThing, Memphis Redbirds’ Rocky, Smarty Owl from Memphis Area Teachers Credit Union, and Guru from somewhere.

Coming soon:
Feb 14th – RMH/ROCK 103 Leather Ball at the Memphis Gibson Guitar Factory “The Lounge”
Feb 27th and 28th- RMH/ROCK 103 RadioThon

Updates coming soon!!
Stay 'tooned!!

Congrats Kev and Muley. When I move from the Buzz I'll be able to safely attend other stations functions without incurring the wrath of my bosses.

Hiya,

Thanks, Scoot.

Friday night, Feb 14th, Muley is going to be at the Gibson Guitar Factory Rock103/RMH Leather Ball in his faux leather jacket. There is the place the girls go wild.

Too bad they don't go wild for me.

UPDATE:

Okay, so it's been a little while since the Leather Ball, but it was fun. Muley was keen on all the gals and they were all keen on him. He wore his black 'leather' shoes, white socks, blue jeans, RMH tee shirt, and his faux-leather jacket.

I think I already mentioned this, but he wears faux leather a his best friend (Calvin Cow) might be offended. Calvin, btw, is lactose intolerant (funny, huh?).

Muley ALMOST got to introduce one of the bands, but a Rock 103 DJ showed up in time to intro the band instead.

They had the most wonderful steak on a stick and chocolate covered strawberries. MMmm.

Conversations were adult with Muley (men and women, go figure), some were just rude to him ("Go over there!" Muley: "Well, suppose if I were Kermit the Frog I bet you'd talk to me!" {Muppet-envy}), and people kept trying to buy him a drink to which he'd respond, "Are ya kiddin?? I'M the one driving home!!"

Later,
FOZ

(27th is RadioThon, which raised over $450,000 last year for the RMH and St Jude. Listen at www.rock103.com to see how you, too, can donate! You might also get to hear Muley on the air!!)

Tonight is the RMH/Rock 103 RadioThon. I'm excited, it's always fun. It starts about 7pm and goes through midnight at Hard Rock Cafe, although the dj's--Tim, Bev, and Bad Dog--have been on the air from 6 am this morning until 10 am tomorrow!!

Right now (almost 1:embarrassed:o pm CST), they have raised $108,000 already!!

Last year they raised over $450,000 dollars; hopefully this year it'll be even more!
