Thanks Erin... Planning on bringing you into town, just gotta get this mapped out... Or at least piece all the current directions together.

But it makes sense that Nelson Square with the train station have its tracks within shouting distance of the theater... Lends creedence to the Loretta Lynn episode they did at the train station instead.

OK, so depending on how we line up Henson and Ganz-Cooney Streets, Nelson Square would be the bottom square either lower left or lower right corner of the map.

Sorry... Bry just ziffled me.
Not sure... After all, doesn't SS have its own landmarked map?
Then again, I'd like to have at least Exit 123 with an SS sign, showing the route to get there from Forgotten Wishes.

Actually, that makes a bit of sense. Cause then Nelson Square can have the Hensonville train station and the underground subway station connecting to Sesame's station... Making it easier for the SS gang to commute to the dorms once it's got its place on the town map.

OK... If no objections are present...
Sara, if you're reading... Here are the ideas we've gotten so far for mapmaking.
1 The Muppet Theater, at the end of the two main streets capping off the cull de sac with its rear alley entryway.
Please let me know if you position it on the extreme lefthand or righthand side of the town plans.
2 Henson Street, the main street... If the theater's on the left, then this would be the top horizontal street. If the theater's located on the extreme right, then it'd be the lower horizontal street.
The shops will be listed parting from the theater being located on the extreme left, but they should be lined up accordingly no matter which side of the town plans the theater ends up going, though please LMK so this longwindedness can stop.
Shops in order, from left to right:
a. Bat Bolt & Skull Toy Shop run by myself.
b. Fran's Fragrant Flowers, run by Kathy.
c. Beth's Clock Shop, run by Beth (redBoobergurl).
d. Jim's Coffee House, run by the master Muppeteer himself. The coffe house has two floors, portraits of Muppets along its upper second floor lounge, and a secret underground bunker for Muppeteer Special Ops.
3 Ganz-Cooney Street, opposite street across from Henson Street and also stemming out from the Muppet Theater.
Shops in order, from left to right:
a. Hensonville Hooper's Store, run by Bryan.
b. Mike's Bakery, run by Angela aka Angie or sugarbritchez.
c. Marvin's Music City, formerly run by Diana. It'll change ownerships when I update One Little Star.
d. The Three Candles Library, where the sisters Kim, Sara, and Lisa work and reside.
4 Nelson Square, located in the lower corner of the map beneath the Muppet Theater, whichever side it lands though spaced quite a bit. Think of it as having the theater and the two main streets in the center and Nelson Square at the very bottom, beneath the theater.
Nelson Square features the following areas.
a. Station entry turnstile and ticket booth.
b. Lunch kiosk with benches in its center area.
c. The bus depot lane and waiting area.
If the station entry arch, lined up with the Muppet Theater, is on the left... Then the bus lane would be on the righthand side of Nelson Square... Or reversed if viceversa.
On the wall of the bus depot's waiting area, next to the bus's lane, there's a low bench... And a row of lockers big enough for roughly one normal-sized Muppet to sleep in, like TMTM.
d. Roofed walkway leading from Nelson Square's arched entry to the platform for the train and stairwell for the subway.
e. The subway area would be underground, on the side opposite Nelson Square's entry.
f. The train station railroad tracks. This area would close off the square. If the Muppet Theater's on the extreme lefthand side of the center of the map, then the railroad tracks would be lined on the leftmost edge. This way, the tracks can run along the left edge, pass behind the theater and be withn shouting distance, and cross neatly down a small bridge over the river at the bottommost horizontal edge of the map.
Hope this helps Sara... And I rully hope to hear from you in this thread again, as to how the other parts of Hensonville in our stories connect with this beginning piece.

Let's see...in terms of architecture, I kind of see the train station as being from the Victorian area, with lots of iron scrollwork and columns and a clock tower and all that. Kind of a miniature version of the stations you'd see in London.

No... It's not a theme park MinorMuppets... Though it could one day be as such.
This is just a townplan layout connecting all of the references to the town of Hensonville from the fanfictional stories that ReneeLouvier, MuppetNewsGirl, and myself, amongst others, have written and posted here on the forum's boards. Basically, I'm kind of stuck in my own story, One Little Star... Because I have a few extra people with new business that I want to add, but I'm trying to know where everything else is located to place these new business establishments and finish up my fanfictional story.
Hope this helps clear it up a bit better.

Erin... A Victorian/Londoner style with the ironwork arched entry and clock could be done for Nelson Square I suppose... But would it mesh with the rest of the parts of the station as described above?

Currently working on the new map. Using all the considerations. Because of size constraints the streets nor the buildings are named on the map, but rather on a guide to the right hand side.

Thanks for helping me (or rather us, me and Ed) with this project.

The New Hensonville Map

Comments? Questions? Rants? Changes?

Please post, and I will change accordingly. I used Ed's (The Count's) layout for this. I hope I've gotten it correctly. I needed to put a compass in the next version of the map. Personally I do not mind the longwindiness. It helps get the map properly done.

Wow! The map looks great Sara! I love that you added Everybody Eats from the Dorms! You know what else would be neat is to have a map of some sort from Leland too since there are a few spots frequented in our stories as well. But anyway, back to this map, it really is great and it's helpful in picturing the fictional town that we've all been creating in our writing. It's so cool!

I'm sure it could. I was just referring to the general architectural style. It would have a Victorian sort of appearance, but on the inside, it's a modern, up-to-date station with automatic ticket machines, places to sit and eat, entrances to the subways, everything you'd need and want in a train station.
