Help Wanted Building a Grover Puppet

I was wondering the average cost of the materials to build a full Grover puppet

Good estimate: A buttload.
fur is expensive
foam is expensive
wire is expensive
EVERYTHING IS FREAKING EXPENSIVE

For fun I went through all the costs if I had to buy everything new (including sewing material. Not the machine.) as if this was my first build and had nothing to start and its close to $150 for my Grover (https://www.puppetstitches.com/grover-build/). Now obviously he was not my first or last build, so I had a lot of the needed items already, but as mentioned above fur and foam and the smaller things add up quick. I then later turned mine into a super grover and that adds a bit too (https://www.puppetstitches.com/super-grover-replica-puppet-build/). So, yes it does take a bit for all the material which is why many who take commissions to build them for others charge what seems to be a lot to non builders. Especially, when you add in all the time.
