I felt I needed to take a break from doing shows, after my partner, who was my mother passed away, which made it almost too difficult to continue without her. Its been a number of years and I have a new found inspiration to bring the joy of puppetry back into my world, and hence bringing that joy to the kids, and adults that enjoy and appreciate the art of puppetry. My mother hand made most of the puppets we would use for shows, but having moved away from the town I grew up in, and leaving the puppets back home, I have started to rebuild my own inventory of puppets in hopes of building enough to start performing again. This forum, for me seemed like a perfect resource of knowledge and like minded people, and I am happy to have found it.

Welcome back to puppetry! It’s amazing that you’re carrying on the joy and creativity your mother helped build. Wishing you all the best as you rebuild your collection and bring smiles to new audiences!
