I noticed in many Henson workshop photos the prescence of heat or hot-air guns at the builder's workstations. Does anyone know what these might have been used for? My first thought was they could be used when working with Wonderflex, but I am not sure how long that material has been around.
Thought?

A hairdryer / heatgun is often used with contact adhesive when gluing the foam, etc.
It speeds the setting-up time, and also helps if you want to unglue the foam if misaligned.
Theres a bit in the '60s 'Muppets on Puppets' where Don Sahlin mentions it.
