My dad's parents & my dad had hearing impairment and I've had moderate impairment growing up. I taught myself sign language (the alphabet at age 9, numbers at age 12, basic signs I have learned from books, movies, video tapes and I went to night school also).
This past winter, approximately November of '10, both ears have been ringing non-stop since then. My hearing has decreased tremendously because of this, with the need of having people to know of my problem and having them repeat themselves. I do not wear hearing aids, I can't afford to get one or have my hearing checked.
Just wanted to know, if anyone at MC has hearing difficulties, if they know sign language..if they inherited their impairment, etc...
