I know there's quite a few fans of Nathan Fillion out there so thought i'd pass this on.

This Friday, ABC's showing classic episodes of their daytime soap lineup focusing on classic weddings. For One Life to Live, they're airing the Nov 14 1995 episode featuring Todd & Blair's second wedding - this was when Nathan was starting out as Joey Buchanan (of course the best actor to have ever played the part!)

I don't have this one yet in my tape collection so while i know he's in it, i don't know how much of him is (the main stories in the ep would be the wedding as well as Marty/Patrick in Ireland) but nonetheless it's a cool chance to see a 24 year old "before-he-was-famous" Nathan. (Along the same lines, the episode will also have Hayden Panettiere at age six playing Sarah Roberts). Plus the 1992-1995 period was what i consider the best years of OLTL's run - it was must-see TV for me back then and cemented my love for the show so i'm excited to see this again! (The wedding in question also ties into a current mystery starting up on the show so it's really going to be fun to watch!)

Not too long ago, they did a fun inside joke where Kelly Cramer's browsing through a book store and picks up a book written by Castle with Nathan's photo on the back cover. She looks over it and puzzles over why the author looks so familiar! Plus an upcoming episode of Castle will be an homage to his OLTL days as the episode takes place on a soap set and is said to have lots of inside jokes...though sadly no OLTL actors will be actually be guesting (the two shows tape on different coasts). I would have loved to see Nathan and Robin Strasser share scenes again - they totally sizzled back in the day!

More fun Fillion news: he'll be the voice of Hal Jordan in an upcoming direct-to-DVD/Blu Green Lantern animated movie. For many GL fans he was the first choice for the role in the live action movie coming this summer (Ryan Reynolds has the part now, and looks to be pretty great).

I'll take all the Nathan I can get.. sadly I couldn't watch Friday, I wound up having to baby sit my 3 year old grand daughter, so we were watching Disney princess movies and Monsters, Inc all day instead... if only she were old enough for Firefly...

onelifetolive.com (that's a redirect address) keeps spisodes up for five days so you can see it there if you missed it (plus youtube - nov 14, 95 original airdate - of course if you're YT'ing anyway, you'll probably just end up searching for and watching general NF on OLTL as opposed to that particular eppy). As mentioned, the main focus of the ep was on Todd/Blair getting married and Marty/Patrick in Ireland but Nathan's Joey has a few great moments interspersed throughout (he's one of the guests at the wedding) and is such fun to see him back then.
