When Marty is fading away at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, it's because his parents didn't kiss and fall in love so he never existed. If he never existed, he never went back in time. If he never went back in time, he never kept his parents from meeting and falling in love. If his parents fell in love, then he didn't change the future.
I never thought of that! I love time travel movies, and Back to the Future is my all-time favorite trilogy. Here's my favorite anomaly from BTTF II, as quoted from a website entitled "Temporal Anomalies in Time Travel Movies unravels Problems in Time":

"Doc has again undone history in a major way. In removing Marty and Jennifer from 1985, he has prevented them from marrying and starting their family. Although he quite reasonably found them there when he first arrived, when he returns with them in tow, their grown selves are not there, and there are no children, no reason for him to have brought them. This further complicates things, as it means he will not have read about the young McFly getting in trouble, and so will not have gone back to get Marty. That means that he will read about it, and will go back--an infinity loop may be created here. But there's going to be another anomaly within this, because if Doc brings Marty to the future and finds nothing for him to do, he will then return Marty to 1985, restoring the timeline he knew (with minor variations) such that now he needs Marty to save his son--as you can see, a very convoluted infinity loop within the infinity loop. But the film ignores the impossibility and moves forward, so we will have to do so as well."

That's just nitpicking. My favorite line from that is: "But the film ignores the impossibility and moves forward" as if time travel is a possibility.

There are two other huge time travel problems in BTTF II:

Old Biff takes the DeLorean from 2015 to give 1955 Biff the Sports Almanac then returns to 2015 so that Doc and Marty have the DeLorean to travel back to 1985 where everything has changed because Biff has the the Almanac. So why weren't things in 2015 different when Old Biff came back?

And the other anamoly is, of course:

CUBS WIN WORLD SERIES??????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

(and I'm a Cubs fan!)

During that time in BTTF2, there exist more Delorians in one spot then anywhere else:
• The Delorian from the first film is in Doc's lab.
• The Delorian that old Biff jacked (location unknown)
• The Delorian Doc & Marty used to return to 1955 to find the almanac.
• And presumably the Delorian that's stashed away in the abandoned mine outside of Hill Valley from 1885.

Holy snap, Vic. That is a lot of DeLeorans! Well...only three of them could be used. Cause the one in the mine probably still had rotted off tires, and a busted microchip. XD

That has to be the funniest thing you could ever possibly post, considering the degree to which people deconstruct the Muppets on this website! Bravo!

In any case, questioning the BTTF trilogy makes it even more fun to watch for me, because I get to think about how these problems could be resolved. I watched all three films today, and the third disc has a FAQ feature that explains a lot of these anomalies. Some of the questions have multiple answers, which in my opinion makes it all the more interesting.

I don't get how they can set that antique alarm clock in that one scene when Marty is in the car, and the alarm goes off at 10:04 pm! I don't know how it's possible!
