Or Disneyland for that matter.
I’ve been fortunate enough to go to Orlando three times in my life.
1974- I was six, and Magic Kingdom is all there was.
1986- senior class trip
2001- my honeymoon

Muppets do have a small footprint in Disney World. They still have Muppetvision 3D, and a little stand called Pizza Rizzo (nice tribute, but the actual pizza isn’t that great).

Disney is wonderful, but it is, was, and always will be horribly expensive. Air fare, hotels, food, tickets, you’re dropping a few grand before you even see Mickey.
But if you can afford it, there’s nothing else like it.
My wife and I have been saving our pennies, and hopefully can go back next year if/when the virus clears up.
Anybody else been there?

Yes. Once at age 7 in 2007, then again 2 years ago at age 18.

I remember a lot of what I saw at Disney World when I first went there even though I was only 7.

I remember the Soarin' ride, Mickey's Philharmagic, Muppet Vision 3D, Splash Mountain, and The Bug's Life short from being there at age 7.

I believe I tried the Tower of Terror for the first time 2 years ago. It was SCARY!

I saw some of my high school friends at Disney World 2 years ago even though we all live 24 hours away (by car) completely north of Florida! We didn't even plan to see each other, I just saw them by a random chance! Isn't that crazy?

I have been there 9 times in my life. My first trip was when I was 4. My favorite park when I was little was MGM Studios due to it having Playhouse Disney Live, Muppet Vision, The Great Movie Ride, and the Beauty and the Beast live show. The last time I went was last year to see the opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, its nuts how much the parks have changed. Especially since they added the Avatar and Toy Story Lands.

Right before the virus hit, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad was open a few days. Everybody raves about it.
So curious to check it out.
Same next year if/when Ratatouille opens in Epcot.
One thing that changed the most each time I went was meeting the characters.
When I was little, you saw the characters walking around, you might wave, they wave back, snap a picture, that’s that.
Over time, meet and greets grew to become huge deals now with designated meeting times and places, and the last time I was there, autograph books.

I was at one of the Disney parks many, many, many moons ago, but I don't remember anything about it.

But my family and I made a trip to Disney World last summer. I wasn't as into it as I thought I would. Without using the FastPasses, it's a little annoying how pretty much all the cool rides had long lines (they need more singles lines; I feel so dumb for waiting over an hour for the Aerosmith ride in the normal when there was a single riders line). But it was cool seeing Muppet*Vision for real! And it was nice to get a better idea of the geography of the parks, knowing only attractions but not really where they are in the park. (Avatar-Land is super dull, IMO).

I was surprised at how many people loved the Country Bear Jamboree, though.

I will say this - I enjoyed the attractions at Universal Studios more, but that park feels much more of a hodge-podge of random stuff than Disney, even if it's stuff owned by Universal. Like, when I think of BTTF, I don't think Universal the way I think of Disney when I think of, say, Peter Pan.

Yeah Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway looks amazing! I will miss The Great Movie Ride but it looks like a very worthy successor.

I went once in October 2017, around the time I turned 13. I went to Magic Kingdom on the 19th and 22nd, and Hollywood Studios on the 23rd.

Funny thing is, I was actually going to go again earlier this month, but then the coronavirus happened. Oh well, at least that gave me time to write more reviews.
