It's a charming little memoir with many amusing anecdotes. I wouldn't call it "must-read" material, but I am glad to have it on my bookshelf.

I really love it, but it strikes me as a book that was editorially compromised. It's seemed to me like Carroll started out writing a biography and then they tried to turn it in to some kind of "life lesson" book. I think it's worth picking up just for Carroll's illustrations alone.

I just got it from Amazon yesterday and I've already finished. Loved it. so many good stories. Caroll really gets into his love for China. And I always wondered what happened to Bruno. Now I know. Worth owning, I'd say.
