There was a show I used to watch when I was younger, I think it was called 'Annabell and Mortimer' (I'm pretty sure it's called that, or vice versa). It was a show with puppets, and I think it was British. Annabell had "yarny" yellow hair and wore a blue jumper, if I remember rightly. Mortimer was her crow (or raven) friend, who never spoke.
The last time I watched this show was about 5 or so years ago, when I found it on video for rental. I think it was mid-90s, though. Anyway, I haven't seen it since, and I can't seem to fiind ANYTHING on the show online.
Does anyone else know this show?

Have no fear! The Shoe Fairy is here!

Lol I have this obsession with tracking down shows like that. I have this uncanny knack for finding people and stuff online so yeah. I spent years looking for "Forgotten Toys" being left with nothing except vauge memories to find it. I did in the end, and found immense peace for some reason lol. What network did the show air on? I will endeavour to help. It kinda rings a bell here too.

OK! I have found the show!
It is actually called Mortimer & Arabel, made in 93/94.
Here is some info on it. http://www.toonhound.com/mortimer.htm
There ya go! You can even get some of the books, illustrated by Quentin Blake on some of them, off Amazon.

Aww, that's aweosme. I'm the same, I spend tons of time tracking down old shows online and my brother's like, "you have too much time on your hands" and then he's like, "WHOA! I remember that!" I was singing the theme from The Trap Door ages back and he didn't remember what it was until I showed him a pic of the blue dude. O_<

(And I think the show was on the ABC)

OMG I Love The Trap Door. That Toonhound site has some goodies on UK only stuff. I'm pretty sure some of the graphic people behind The Dark Crystal worked on Lavender Castle. Amongst other things that site is pretty darn good. Glad to know I made your day.

You really did, and again, thankies so much. That Toonhound is a really good site, and I recall watching quite a few UK-based shows, too.
And with Mortimer and Arabel, and finding out Quentin Blake -who did the illustrations for Roald Dahl books- did the book illustations, I can really see it now. I think they did a great job on making the show look like the drawings.
