Same here. I think since my sister hasn't had any boys she wants me to. So knowing that if I don't ever have a boy shes going to go crazy. I don't know if I can have children. Its not that I can't I just don't want to. There a hand full. I wouldn't mind having them to pass down cool toys and let them know who the muppets r but when u have to change them and watch them. I can't I want to do other things. I'm still young. Well If I meet the right girl and she wants children I'll think it through.

I've never had a boyfriend. Never ONCE. Usually, when people find out about this, their immediate response is to try to fix me up w/someone! It drives me CRAZY...They find it hard to believe that I'm HAPPY being single...Besides, I'm only 18! What's the rush? I don't have the time OR energy to spend on a boyfriend, anyway...But some people think it's impossible to be single and happy at the same time! (The same people who just jump from one relationship to another, b/c they don't feel whole w/o a boyfriend/girlfriend!) Sometimes I feel like the only one who's single, and happy that way! Even my friends who SAY they're single & happy suddenly do a 180 at the prospect of a relationship....

I've never had a girlfriend ever and I'm 20, so don't feel alone! I've had bad experiences with girls that I've been interested in, they act all interested and all and then totally blow me off! My latest experience was this girl who I met in a restaurant. She approached me and gave me her phone number, and I didn't even ask her for it. And then every time I asked her to do something it was: Oh I'm busy, maybe next weekend... This went on for quite a while and I finally gave up. I mean good grief! So I'm just waiting for the right girl...

I've never had one either!! That's not to say I've never had a crush on anyone. But I don't go out looking for people to fall for. I'm definitely not interested in hook-ups. I did do that once, as a favor to my aunt, and I still can't believe I even did that. He was a perfectly nice guy but I felt totally uncomfortable around him. I have to get to know someone really well first. Oh, well. Because of him I wound up seeing "The Sixth Sense," a movie I was totally uninterested based on the previews, and it ended up being one of my favorite movies. So it wasn't a total loss!

I'm lucky. My parents are perfectly happy that I'm single. My brother Benjamin always harrasses me, but I never pay any attention to anything he says anyway.

I still don't have a girlfriend and I am 18! I have had a few bad experiences with girls too. I am happy without a girl but I would be much happier with one, I hate being lonely and it would just be so nice to have someone to care about and hopefully they would feel the same way.

I've never really had a proper "girlfriend" but a few close friends which ended at just that. I have never been lucky with girls mainly because I am quite shy, I might see someone who I would really love to go up to and talk to to get to know them but I never have the courage to.

Theres even a few people at school who I think are really nice people and I have only really found this out since its the end and there was a shy girl at school who everyone thought was really ugly. I didnt think she was ugly because I could see she was a nice person and I feel so bad because I never had the courage to have much of a conversation with her. The majority of the year at school were not real nice people but I know who the nice ones are now so I really hope to get to see them again.

Yep, I ain't had a serious one either...had a "pseudo" one though, lol.

My bad experience wif any girl I'm interested in is that she's taken/engaged/married---every dang time!

Just another reason I'm glad I ain't lookin' now---I'm a "SAP"!!

I forgot to add that although I am quite happy, its just something missing and I am fine til it is brought to my attention. Like because I am quite shy I am quite lonely so I don't go to many social things but that isnt my choice, Im not happy being lonely and I love being with people more than anything. Since we have finished school now I have been going to a few parties etc and as always afterwards I feel pretty down because I think about what I have been missing out on because I like it so much. It really doesnt suit me to be lonely. I think if I found someone special it would make such a huge difference in my life and I would be 100% happy because although I am happy I'm not happy deep down.

I just had to vent that all out since its a great thread to do it in!

The whole thing's depressing anyway. All my mates in Edinburgh are either married or engaged (and in one case, with a child), and all my single friends live in other cities - or in extreme cases, other continents. It's very hard to find someone who's up for going out for a drink or six. Not that I have the time for going out these days...

That does make it harder. We're lucky to live in an area which, while it's all very small towns, there's a high ratio of single people just chugging along on their own. So, no one thinks twice about it if you're single, and you can usually find someone to go have a drink or six. People help each other out, too, with moving, or if they have car trouble, etc. Those things can be much harder to deal with when you're on your own.
