Elvis Presley would have been 75 today...Happy B-day to The King! As a part-time Elvis impersonator, I have been very busy this week, culminating with a big show at a senior center today that was covered by a local newspaper (as were others i did this week).
Happy Birthday Elvis...the forever King of Rock n' Roll! Thank you...thank you very much.

That must have been a fun show. Which songs did you perform?

Here's the set list:
CC Rider
Burning Love
Suspicious Minds
Something (Beatles song Elvis sang in concert)
All Shook Up
Don't Be Cruel
Blue Suede Shoes
Heartbreak Hotel
Hound Dog
Love Me Tender
My Way (Sinatra, though written by Paul Anka song Elvis sang in concert)
Teddy Bear
The Wonder of You
An American Triology
I Want You, I Need You, I Love You
Little Sister
Moody Blue
Can't Help Falling In Love (Aloha from Hawaii version)
If I Can Dream

I NEVER sing Jailhouse Rock (Elvis' voice was way too high in that song). Moody Blue, I Want You..., My Way and Something are interchangeable. Sometimes I do other songs instead. All of the others are staple songs.

I nearly missed it this year! (completely missed this thread) but it's okay - the anniversary of his death has always been a bigger cause for honoring The King, I was born on the 12th anniversary.
