song "Puff The Magic Dragon". Don't bother looking for a drug reference in that tune, it's already been done.
Do you see how stupid this is? If you are "looking" you can "find a drug reference" in everything. The psychedelic look of the early Krofft programs were just a part of the times. Look at a Sears catalog from 1970, the kids will be wearing fringed vests, bellbottoms, and maybe a peace sign. Did the design department at Sears want to sell hallucinogenic drugs to it's customers? I doubt it.
Why can't people accept that sometimes, things are a bit weird. I was often mistaken as a "Deadhead" or a "Stoner" because I used have very long hair, a beard, and listened to "strange music". People thought that I use drugs, and were shocked to learn that I am practically a tea totaler!
Today's lesson: Until you know the facts, don't judge a book by it's tripped out swirling light show cover.
You can think this all you want, but you are still wrong. "H.R." is "Royal Highness" (oops...another drug reference!) backwards and Pufnstuf's name was originally "Luther" (I can't find a drug reference). The program was originally going to be called Luther Land. That was shot down, and Sid Krofft heard the Peter, Paul, and Mary (oh no! hippies...who may have smoked weed)Ryan said:
