What about other celebs who would've/could've been on TMS?

Originally booked for show:
Robin Williams
Cher (replaced by Debbie Harry)
Richard Pryor (replaced by Chris Langham)

Tried to get on show:
Frank Sinatra
Paul McCartney
George Harrison

There are Beatles figures, this I know.

Santa Claus Switch:
Art Carney

Muppets go Hollywood:
Dick Van Dyke
Johnny Mathis
LeVar Burton
George Hamilton

Lots more, can't recall them offhand.

Muppet Movie:
Mel Brooks
Elliott Gould
Carol Kane
Richard Pryor
Telly Savalas
Orson Welles

Caper:
Robert Morley
Jack Warden
Peter Falk

Manhattan:
Dabney Coleman
Joan Rivers
Gregory Hines
Art Carney

Fantastic Miss Piggy Show:
Andy Kaufman
John Ritter

I think Sammy Davis Jr. would have been a likelihood, seeing as he was making tons of TV guest appearances at the time.

Any I'm missing? Anybody someone would have wanted to see on the show? Dave Beukema once told me he would have liked to see Carole King on the show (and I quite agree with him). I think the Carpenters, Red Skelton, and Sid Caesar would've been good, too.

But, of course we can always start another thread for this sort of discussion. Just wanted to throw out some who were possibilities.
