Okay, so I do my job 40+ hours a week. I do it very well and to the best of my abilities.

Today, a customer comes in and yells at my boss saying, "I told Kevin 4 times to add such-n-such to my policy, and everytime I told Kevin to do it, it still isn't done. I want something done TODAY!"

So, of course, I get called in and yelled at because this customer says I didn't do what he said he told me to do 4 times.

I go pull his file and LO & BEHOLD! there is a letter in there BY ME where I've reported that he called in on such and such date to give me the item to add, and he was supposed to call me back to give me the year/make/model and never did, plus notations where 3 times I tried to call, 2 times left messages and once was told it was a disconnected number.

Still, after all this and proving them wrong, no apologies!!

i've had a job where someone had to pick up something. so i looked and looked around and i found nothing. so i had to tell the guy and his wife i couldn't find his order and his wife like yelled at me and walked off. but the husband told me that he thought he may have placed the order at another store. so i called the store, and his order was there. his wife didn't come back and say anything. she probably was embarrased. got me mad though. stupid people...

People should at least have the decency to apologize.

I've learned the hard way, you do something wrong, you make sure it's corrected. People who can't are just being rude, and refuse to admit they might just be wrong.

Sorry. I know too many people who HAVE to be right. Can't admit they're wrong, and will continue to tell you that they were right (or making you feel pretty darn guilty) when you prove them wrong. Makes me mad.

But, anyway...

I work at Allstate Insurance, so the job description already comes with the fact that you have to be handy with a knife. Though, we aren't as bad as some of the other companies (meaning how the company treats employees, not customers).

Get a new job where people respect you! What do you do? Do you like it? AND WHO CAN GET KEVIN A new job??

Last night I went to a friend's house where we were supposed to be having supper, and that jerk was GONE...a 45 minute drive and they aren't even home. An hour later than when we are supposed to meet he shows up.

I spit in his plate.

My wife works for the state as an elegability specialist, determining the elegability of aplicant requesting state aid. Your complaint sounds a lot like the ones she has. She has a client base of about 450 and this sort of thing happens to her all of the time. On the whole, she ends up prevailing, proving, as you did, that the client was either deficient in his/her information, or that they didn't make contact as many times as they claimed. Unfortunately, things get out of hand sometimes. when that happens, it is taken to the state capitol and a judge is brought in to settle the matter. My wife still comes out on top, but at the expense of great emotional stress.
