Gorgan Heap... male or female

Is Gorgan Heap a male or female Muppet? I always believed it to be male, however in the opening sketch of the Don Knotts episode Gorgan says "What's the matter? Don't you like chorus girls?" referring to itself.

I would asume male, but then again, there are other muppets that we would asume one gender, but evidence points to a different gender (like Miss Kitty). So, its a posibility, but, I think its a male. That could have been a joke, because I dont think I have ever heard of a "chorus boy".

Like many of the muppet monsters Gorgon was in drag and was always changing he appeared with ears, no horns, horns, no teeth, teeth so he probablly was meant for an Anything Muppet Monster.

Gorgon would look less threatening without those fangs, right?

I have to say I think Gorgan is a male.Most muppet are male . The males are usally furrer then females are.
