But im actually quite excited about how this one is turning out so wanted to show him off

Great build. I'm actually starting on my own build. When your hand is in the head, should your fingers curve so you can make Kermit's facial expressions. I'm trying to figure out how big to make the mouthplate and have it fit in my hand.

Yes, your fingers curved and your middle finger raised.
Use your hand as a guide on how big he should be. The mouthplate is the same with as my hand.
