Gonzo, Tires and Bumble Bees

Did Gonzo eat a tire to while huming the Flight of the Bumble Bees on the Muppet Show or only on the Muppet Show Record.

Any help here would be hot,

And on the original version of the episode (viewable at the Museum of Television and Radio), we don't even get to see the act! (It was taped later, when they decided to extend and re-edit the episode.) We only get to see Gonzo go out, and then come back with the audience booing behind him, holding a tire with a big bite taken out of it.
