Gonzo foam

I was wanting to find the foam they use to carve puppet like gonzo,
a few years back i was watching a muppet program that show gonzo being made and I didn't know if their is any different in that faom and the foam you buy at the fabric store Any help??!!:concern:

I wouldn't use regular upholstery foam from a fabric store for Gonzo's nose. I don't think you'd be happy with the results. Scott foam, reticulated foam, filter foam, open cell foam, whatever you would like to call it, is what you need. It looks like gfarkwort over in the Puppeteer's Resource thread has a good source. I'd probably go with the 4 inch thickness for carving a Gonzo.

I don't have it off hand. I have to go thur all my tapes. I think I saw it back when Nickelodeon was putting all the muppet stuff on tv I think it was part of the JHH:concern:
Check with some of the other guys who specialize in recorded muppet stuff

Yeah they showed a new Gonzo being sculpted on the behind the scenes episode of the Jim Henson Hour.
