Welcome, Patricia, welcome.

Even though I'm still the new guy around here, I can safely say that I am the sanest, most upstanding member of these forums. I don't go in for any of that "wacky" or "zany" humor.:attitude:

Ooooh, look!! A chipmunk that looks like Richard Nixon is wrestling with a giant squid in my backyard!!

Oh and Jeeves, bring me another turkey milk shake, willya? And don't be stingy on the turkey milk!

Now, where was I? Oh yeah, I think pineapples make terrific footwear...

Then poke around and post reviews in the fanfics and try to integrate into some of the zany threads here in Friends & Family.

Is okay... We welcome you guys to MC with a warm waving of frog arms and blowing of the saxophone.

Are you kidding?? Penguin tossing is like, my life!! I toss 'em, I juggle 'em, I throw 'em through hoops. The cool thing is, they don't seem to mind!!

Oh, don't get me wrong! I'm having a blast here. This is actually the only forum I currently belong to. Just because I still feel new doesn't mean I can't be zany, right??

Maybe I'll try my hand at a fanfic sometime. I write one-act plays (several of which have been produced--sorry for that shameless autobiographical thingie); many of my plays have a surreal, strange and utterly insane bent to them, so I'm no stranger to weirdness.

After all, my influences (in no particular order) include

The Muppets
Monty Python
Saturday Night Live (1975-1980)
The National Lampoon (1970-1978)
The Fireside Theater
The Bonzo Dog Band
Mystery Science Theater 3000
Harry Nilsson
SpongeBob Squarepants
Vintage Looney Tunes (esp. Daffy Duck when he was REALLY Daffy and insane)
The Simpsons
Family Guy
Jerry Lewis
The 3 Stooges
Laurel & Hardy
Kurt Vonnegut
The Kids In the Hall
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
South Park

And so on and so forth.

In other words, I'm a pretty nutty guy!!!!:zany:

But I have never written anything with existing characters, so that could be an interesting challenge...
