Does anyone remember Gina's first episode? It was late in 1986 when they first aired it, and it was all about Gordon and some of his students spending the evening up on the roof to study the stars. Gina was one of his students, but was late and couldn't find Gordon, and asked a lot of the SS charachters if they knew a "Mr. Robbinson" and where he was. But nobody knew who she was talking about because they all knew him as Gordon. I remember Oscar yelling at her, and the Honkers honking and she didn't understand them at all. I remember the dilema was finally resolved, but Gina missed out on the whole "field trip" I remember this episode ended with Hoots up on the Roof talking to the pigeons, and it showed a view of the sky at night with all the stars. Telly announced the sponsors off screen and at the very end he said "Goodnight, Mr. Robbinson....... hehehe" It was a pretty good show, and I hope I see it again someday. Gina couldn't have been more than 15 years old at the time. Anyone else remember this one?

No, but Sesame Street sounded so cool back then! I never knew Gordon taught high school before and that Gina was one od his students.

I remember that episode. Telly had a trip calling Gordon, "Mr. Robbinson", all the time. Normally, kids aren't allowed to call adults by their first names. But the muppet kids seem to get away with it.

I sometimes wonder which episode it was when Gina started calling him Gordon, instead of "Mr. Robbinson". That's an interesting bit of trivia right there. Mabye you might know Xerus.

are we sure about this?

While I don't remember it myself when Noggin was showing the SS reruns shhowing David working one day needing help and putting up a help wanted sign and Gina was in his store doing homework while eating. At some point he decided to ask her if she wanted to work with him.

Can't remember how the whole piece went.

Actually, I've haven't seen Gordon and Gina interact that much anyway. Actually, according to Muppet Wiki, it was sometime around 1990 or 1991 that the name 'Gordon Robinson' was revealed, but maybe Lincoln's right and Muppet Wiki is wrong. I do remember Gina being new on the show in the 80s.

The name Robinson was revealed when he and Susan adopted Miles, which was around the time that Gina first came on the show.

Cool memories! Thanks for sharing the story of Gina's "debut." I don't remember it, but I do remember some of her early appearances on the show.

I remember seeing that one on Noggin as well - It was first shown after Gina had debuted on the show (whenever that was). She was a "supporting" character for a time before working at Mr. Hooper's.
