That sounds nice, but personally, I would prefer to just stick to watching the recordings and digital copies of Sesame Street episodes that I’ve saved from Google Photos and the Internet Archive.

I first learned of the news on Facebook just now, and I am so thrilled! However, I certainly hope it's different episodes from what was offered on HBO Max a few years ago.

I expect that many episodes already on YT will likely be purged in the months leading up to January 2026. I expect that the classic episodes will likely be released by one of the official Sesame Street channels.

This will be a prime time for me to download as many episodes possible.

I actually just thought of something else. Look closely at what the post says. Does it say that it will be classic episodes? No. It just says that it will have hundreds of episodes, not thousands. Hundreds of episodes have been produced, even in the last 10+ years. It's possible that all of the episodes will be newer. And even if they do have classic episodes, they will be very heavily edited. Remember during the time of the 50th anniversary, they had a live stream that lasted for a day that just had 4 episodes playing over and over all day, and 2 of them were from the 2010s, and the others were 1 and 2485. I remember they were very heavily edited. This was before HBO Max.

While i am excited that full Sesame Street episodes are coming to YouTube! You'll have to remember that they already have 55 on the official channel (and all of those are from post-Season 23). So i really doubt they'll touch upon the episodes from 1-23, but let's wait and see!

I just meant in terms of the seasons itself, i'm not saying post Season 23 isn't declared a classic at all

Ah, right, yes. Anything post season 23 can’t be declared as “classic.” I forgot.
I'm not a fan of that mindset either. Despite some flaws in the "Around the Corner" era, it’s still far better than the show has been since Season 46. As for what I consider the best seasons, my favorites are Seasons 30–36 and 18–22.
