Hi,
I was hoping somebody could tell me the names of the 2 guys that help each other out to get fruit from a tree, and then share it. Think it was an apple that they got ? Any info on the subject at all would be appreciated as it might lead me to remembering more.....

thanks,
Paddy

It was a nectarine tree.I found this quote for you:

Name: Gonk
Species: Alien
Series: The Muppet Show
Description: Stunted Geefle stuffer. Too short to reach fruit on Koozbanian
nectarine tree, he could only eat when the Geefle gave him
some of the fruit. The Gonk is short and blue, with bendable
elbows. Deep, gravelly voice.
Quotes: !Lets call it... cooperation!!

Name: Geefle
Species: Alien
Series: Sesame Street
Description: Jointless Fruit picker. Could reach fruit on Koosbanian
nectarine tree, but could not bend elbows to put fruit in
mouth. Tall and yellow, with a furry body and tuft of hair
on top of head. High pitched voice.
Quotes: !No. Let!s call it... Shirley!!

Geefle and Gonk pix

I know pix of these two are probably rarer than hens' teeth, but just imagine...

The Geefle was the green Anything muppet with the pointy head, and the Gonk was the Fat Blue one. Just put on different eyes and noses, put a little colored fur around their necks, and there you have it. instant aliens.

Thanks to Don Sahlin for making the Anything muppets so versatile, where a quick change of eyes, noses and hair can make miracles happen.
