This seems to have been touched on in various threads before, but I wanna ask anyway. Anybody else love that show Freakazoid! that used to be on? Warner Bros. put it out. It was great, so many glorious parodies. One of my favorite gags, from the episode that parodied Quantum Leap. Freakazoid is trying to un-jam the landing gear of a plane, and he is pushing with his back against one side, and his feet on the other, and as he's pushing, he stops and says, "Better than a Thighmaster!"
This show was so random, and so awesome. One of my favorites.

Ah, Freakazoid! A Speilberg classic! I used to watch that show all the time, it was soooooo stupid it was funny! I wish some channel would pick it back up again, along with Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, and other Speilberg cartoons.

Same here I loved this show. I watched everytime it came on. I started watching it when Cartoon Network started showing it. I couldn't get enough of the Cop character that hung out with Freakazoid. If either another channel or DVDs would come out I would buy or watch them all over again.

Such great memories! I loved the villains. Those stupid villains. Especially that Irish dude. ...Wait, he may not have been a villain though. But either way I loved that show so much!

Yeah, I really liked Freakazoid too. Paul Rugg knew how to voice that zany guy great.

I especially liked those side cartoons.

Toby Danger, a spoof of Johnny Quest
Lord Bravery, with lots of Monty Python humor.
The Huntsman, a manly hero who has to protect a city with no crime at all!
The Garden Gnomes, about four gnomes who will remain stone until they make up for their misdeeds. A Gargoyles spoof.

Oooh, I just remembered something: I remember as a little guy, there was this really short-lived cartoon series on TV where it constantly making fun of history (like Mr. Peabody, or Time Squad), that was pretty much done in the style of all the above mentioned cartoons (Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons Adventures). Could it too have been a Speilberg cartoon?

Are you thinking of "Histeria!" ? It ran from 1998 to 2001. Were you a "little guy" then? It was a Warner Bros. cartoon, but I don't know if Spielberg was involved. It was a pretty funny show that made an attempt at teaching history, but it didn't seem to get much attention and didn't last too long.

As for Freakazoid, I really enjoyed that show as well, though I wish I would have watched it more. I sure would like to see it again - it looks like youtube has some full epsiodes!

When I met Norm Abram I asked him about the episode he appears in. He actually did the voice for the character and said he enjoyed the whole experience.
