Fran Brill uncredited in earlier episodes?

Does anybody know the particular reason why Fran Brill was hardly credited on Sesame Street's credits in the 70s and 80s? She got credit in season 2 but barely any other seasons up until the early 90s despite still performing. Contractual dispute?
