The way I see Jr. the way he talks never changes, while he does get more mature about..certain things (I wonder, are we allowed to say? Hm, I'll use my fraggle word then; moonlight snuggling)..
Heh. Well, I decided that his speech patterns are due to the air quality in the castle. Once I have Toby install fans (and when Jr follows Jareth), Junior's speech clears up.

But then, I think it is a mix between knowing that learning disabled people far worst off than me can live full and rewarding lives (not that Jr. exactly is but you know), thinking that the gorg way of aging works a lot like the fraggles, only slower (basically child-like their whole lifes, with some of them born liking serious adult thinking)
Well, like you said, he's really just sheltered. It's more explicit in my fics, but I do detect a real theme in Henson's work about holding children back. Robin has issues, Junior has issues, the Sinclair kids have issues, Sarah (and even Jareth) seem to have issues, Helena (just watched Mirrormask on youtube ... it's like it came straight out of my head) has issues.... A cynical look at Sesame Street may make someone feel that the whole Muppet population, who only ages about a year or two per quarter century or so, has issues

"moonlight snuggling'' LOL! Great euphemism Redsonga!
It's the word for it I use in my version of the fraggle world :flirt:.

Midnight Place:

Red giggled as she got up, towering many inches over Boober in his hole.
"Aw, Boober, I'm a big girl, it's none of my business who Mokey plays moonlight snuggle with..I'm just glad…"

"We weren't moonlight snuggling!" Boober yelled, his face now completely dark green with a mixture of embarrassment and rage.

Well, I actually don't see being sheltered as the worst thing in the world, but maybe that was because I am to . That is, I'm not like some people that think that because you were you can never find happiness...In my fraggle world Mokey comes from a background that makes Jr. look like he rebelled, got a tattoo, and joined a knights on horseback gang
