Fraggle Rock question

Hi again everyone. I have a question pertaining to Fraggle Rock. I read somewhere that when the Fraggle puppets were not in use, they were placed on a rack with a sign that said "Please do not fondle the stars". Is this true? Did this sign actually exist? If so, I think its quite funny. "Please do not fondle the stars". Hilarious!

Sadly, I don't know the answer, but that's hilarious! :zany:

*falls off seat*

Please do not fondle the stars!

I can't confirm or deny this, as I've never heard anything about it before, but if it's an urban legend it's one that I can totally buy into.

Please do not fondle the stars!

Yes it is true. It says so in Jim Henson The Works... I think but I know I read that someplace before I read so maney book about Jim I couldn't tell you of the excat one, but I do know this is true. Do a littl research and you'll find out.

(Laughing so hard her sides ache) Beau, you really are loving that "please do not fondle the stars" quote, aren't you? Can't say I blame you, because I think its hysterical! And Zelda Zipple refreshed my memory as to where I saw that story: its in one of Jim Hensons biographies, so I guess the rumor is true. Just wish I had a pic of that puppet rack so I could see it for myself   . That would make a wonderfully wacky Muppet conversation piece.

I would love to have a photo of it to, to display with my collection.I scorned the photos in my reference books hoping to see the sign in a workshop photo. The only thing I could find was a muppet show characters storage shot on page 73 in Of Muppets and Men.There is a cardboard sign but it is obscured by Dr Teeth and from what can be made out, it is worded "Please Do Not Touch...." but they could of changed it for Fraggle Rock.
Anybody here who has worked for Henson's, do you have any photo reference of it that you could share?

Here is a photo that includes the sign in the left corner.

Many thanks to Terry Angus for his time in searching through his photos to find this for me.
