Wow, thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the story so much! Heh, I like Boober a whole lot, and that's in no small part due to Sidebottom. I know he may come across as an annoying troublemaker, but I think of him as a corrective feature, working to pull Boober back into the light when he gets too dark and gloomy. All Boober has to do to keep Sidebottom from acting out is to allow himself to have uncoerced fun, as he did when testing baloobiuses (and scheming to dump Red in mud, heh heh).

Snow days rock. We had a snow week a little while back... and would you believe that that was the week I took off for vacation, fer cryin' out loud? I didn't know whether to be miffed or relieved.

Rully liked this one too. Part 3 especially has a feeling of Honk of Honks to it which helped tie the entire thing together all the moreso. Noticed that the Dave Goelz Fraggle characters were the only ones spared from the plague. The ending where Boober and Sidebottom accept each other's being within themselves was a nice touch as well. Thanks for this and hope to read more soonish.

I was thinking of "The Honk of Honks" when I wrote the third chapter. That chapter had several working titles, including "The Chime of Chimes", which didn't have the right, heh, ring to it, and it would have been about as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Another working title was "The Minds of Boober Fraggle", which is a takeoff of "The Minds of Billy Milligan," a biography of a man with multiple personalities. The multiple personality aspect was high in my mind when I wrote this, and I really wanted to bring Sidebottom back and get him to a resting point. From here on I don't see him appearing often, as they're pretty well integrated... but remember when they put on a puppet show in "The Incredible Shrinking Mokey"? Heh heh. Or maybe Boober gets persuaded to join the Poobahs.

I didn't realize that the three (named) characters who didn't get sick were all Goelz characters. Weird coincidence there, huh? My reasoning is that you don't get to be The World's Oldest Fraggle without being a tough old coot, and Traveling Matt's immune system has been challenged enough in Outer Space that he's built up some resistance to Silly Creature diseases. Boober's just got a strong immune system because it's gotten so dang much exercise over the years.

Lovely little story! I loved Boober in it! He just wanted to take care of everyone. And the Sidebottom cameo was great as well.

Cameo? Heh, he just jumped in and took the heck over, as is his wont. Sidebottom's kind of like kudzu that way. (The plant, not the character.)

I feel like a bit of a fool now. I rewatched Pebble Pox Blues and realized that it's moonrose that brings down fever, not bluerose. Dangit, Boober, speak UP!
