:embarrassed: Since this post was listed by Phillip I believe that Corgi/MR is planning to release this Fozzie Bear product. One thing I have learned working with the toy industry is that plans can change quickly - prototype picture or not. With all the work put into Fozzie at this point the company would be taking quite a loss in not manufacturing it so I lean toward this happening. It is weird that there is a prelisting for it already, but I've seen weirder. :concern:

There is one thing I learned and that is you cannot believe everything you hear until you actually know the facts. Even if it is someone you know. Sometimes, that's all it is...is just rumors.
Well all we know officially is that they have merged with Popco and become Popco Entertainment, although they haven't changed anything on the website yet. But the plan is to continue producing Master Replicas licenses so yes, until we hear anything specifically on the Muppets it does look good, so i would agree with yourself and Jamie on the positive side. Especially since the aim of this "Popco" is to specialise in pop culture.

:embarrassed: Yep. That head is off, but I think the Amazon image is a picture taken from one of the Toy Fares (not the initial one, but a later one). It was nicely extracted from the background and posted against white.

:search: I wouldn't worry about it. It's not the best photo of the bear or even a factory sample. That is the earlier prototype. Terry made several if you remember. I couldn't locate the source image for this particular angle, but here's a composition of different Fozzies. It includes one of Terry's best posers, the Amazon picture, a classic full-body photo, the classic Fozzie face at his prime and a more modern one.

I am so ready for this bears preorder. I am wondering how long we have till he goes up. We all know we wnat him perfect. I cannot wait to get him and add him to the others. I also wonder if they figured out who is next in line for the next photo puppet. It's going to be interesting!

If that's the case then someone at MR likely used a Toy Fare snapshot and erased the background. I believe that's where the source imagage is from. It's likely a place-holder prototype picture because of the rumored problems of the factory samples. However, that could be a sample that was taken in a very similar position. Either way it appears they have found a way to make a lackluster promotional photo of the gorgeous bear too! Darn monkey photographers in the art department! :embarrassed:

Up on Amazon. Use the link in Phillip's original post in this thread.

Once again, it's a bad picture by the King's of the bad pictures. It still looks like Terry's prototype, though.

:stick_out_tongue:

Sorry! I missed all of Page 2 of this thread before I posted this... but sounds like you guys pretty much agree with me anyway.
