I notice a lot of animal loves and animal activists have been calling for a boycott of fireworks this year because they scare pets and cause them to runaway, citing the July 5th is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters taking in strays and runaways.

Be that as it may, wouldn't boycotting fireworks on the Fourth of July be like calling for a boycott of Christmas lights because pets can get tangled in the wires?

Eh, I mean, honestly I'm against boycotting stuff like that altogether because we have a right to have fun and do stuff like this so much as it's not past a cerfue.

If people have an issue with fireworks because of pets, they should play some music to help drown it out with the windows closed or keep them in the basement.
