It was an actual episode. Full plot with Forgetful. I know that it couldn't have been a rerun, because it had the animated credits, therefore it was a Friday show. And all of the reruns from Season 22 that were on that year were noticeable, because they ended with a special closing credit sequence with Big Bird in central park. (Obviously the originals most likely had the discontinued Barkley and the kids closing) Perhaps Richard prerecorded his Forgetful voice, while somebody else performed the puppet. Just a thought.
