foreign characters on main show

Have any characters from international productions (Abelardo, Zeliboba, etc.) ever appeared on the original show to anyone's knowledge?

I know Abelardo has once made a phonecall to Big Bird sometime in season 30 I believe...sometime between season 30 and 32, and I think Big Bird has a picture of him in his nest area, but I don't think he's ever made an appearance on the show before.

Actually, Abelardo DID make an appearance on SS back in Season 28. I remember he was going to meet Big Bird, and they kept having trouble finding each other. I remember they sang a song, and at the end of the song, they were right next to each other, facing backward! Then, they turned around, and they found each other.

Yea I also remember the episode with Ablerdo (or however you spell the birds name) I think he also interacted with Rosita as well.
