When copying one video to another, is there any possible way to manipulate the volume control of the video, so that the volume of the copy sounds louder than that the original? Is there, like, a machine that allows you to do so?

If so, it's something I could very well use. I'd also like to know if there's a way to manipulate the frequency if the audio doesn't have perfect frequency. Anyone know what I mean?

Yeah...it's called an amplifier

Unless you've got a semi-pro machine or better, the chances are your VCR won't have manual audio level controls on it, so all you can do is pass the audio through an external amp. Bear in mind that if you're trying to boost a weak signal, you'll also boost the noise content (which, this being VHS, is bad enough already  I normally run the sound through some software to amplify it and filter out the worst of the noise.

I'm not sure what you're asking about frequency - could you elaborate?

Another option would be running VCR1 through an equalizer before the sounds goes to VCR2. Depending on the eq, you could raise the volume (and remove hiss and background noise) at the same time. Software would give you the best results, but there is the issue of syncing up the sound with the video once again in many cases (unless you edit both the video and sound on your computer via an editing program like Adobe Premiere, Ulead VideoStudio, etc).
