Hello Folks,

I have decided this is the year I'm going to make a replica Fizzgig Puppet and thought I would post my progress! This will be my first ever puppet so I'm super excited to start this journey. I have loved Jim Henson's work since before I could talk and vividly remember trying to make my own Fizzgig at 5 years old from a wool pompom.

I have since self taught myself how to make Mohair jointed bears and a range of soft toys, which I enter into competitions. Now I think it's finally time to take the plunge, but I am looking for a place to start. I am hoping to develop a pattern for Fizzgig based on a circular head. I believe the main thing I will need is guidance with finding a layered Faux Fur fabric that is similar to Fizzgig's.

Has anyone got tips for starting out/ potential fabric recommendations?

Thank you for any engagement with this thread, I'm very excited to get to know this wonderful community!:scary:🐾💜
