I know, it just sound weird to me..Like I am not really myself :sympathy:
Same. I mean, I can watch stuff with swearing--heck, the entire Attitude Era in the WWE was half full of swearing--but I can't bring myself to swear much.

That's why I'm glad South Park did make that effort to say swearing too much was wrong, because it takes away from the impact.

But you don't need swearing to make an impact. The various Muppet productions prove that you don't need over the top potty humor, horribly graphic violence, intense sexual situations, or overdone foul language to get a point across & make an impact. And ever since the WWE's been catering to a younger audience, it too doesn't rely too much on swears to generate a reaction anymore.

No you don't always need it. But that doesn't mean it's never funny. Most of the time it isn't, in my opinion. But on South Park, the point is these are jaded, intelligent kids living in a corrupt world run by adults that are not very bright (pretty true to life in many cases!). It's shocking that they use language like that but it shows just how screwy the world is.

I don't think we really need a tv show to show how awful the world already is, at least not that type:coy:. We can see just fine already:sympathy:

If only the world could change into something like Fraggle Rock. Not perfect, but united.

*hums "Children of Tommorow" and thanks Becky for uploading the clip*

We have a ton of TV shows that show how awful the world is. Point out a problem that needs pointing out and offer solutions or at least inspiration. If we didn't have racial tension and wars in the world, Fraggle Rock would not have been necessary.

That's right, if only...The bad parts of life are easy to see, it's when we step beyond them and stop saying 'that's just the way it is' that things can start to get better:excited:

Exactly! And one thing South Park does not do is say "that's just the way it is." It may not be everyone's style, but it does do good things (as far as any TV show can anyway).
