Fictional Clones

Over the years, I've noticed more and more fictional characters out there that basically seem like clones of other fictional characters... and no, I'm not just talking about the age-old "Jeanette of The Chipettes and Irma from TMNT are long-lost twins" example, but here are some others I've noticed...

• Helga from Hey Arnold! and Isabella from Phineas and Ferb appear to shop at the same store, they practically wear the same outfit.
• Many have speculated that Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney) was directly influenced by Ernest T. Bass (Howard Morris) from Andy Griffith, as both characters don caps and denim vests.
• The fact that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is making a comeback reminds us that Mickey is literally a mouse version of Oswald (except one wears blue pants, the other wears red).
• More than a few people have noted that the rooster character from Surf's Up (the off-brand knock-off of Happy Feet) looks an awful lot like T.R. Rooster.
• And HOW many blonde pig-tailed cartoon girls are there out there? Dee Dee from Dexter's Lab, Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls, Dorothy-Ann (D.A.) from The Magic School Bus, Eleanor from The Chipettes, Rosie the baby sister from A Troll in Central Park, etc.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed these kinds of similarities, what other characters can you think of that can basically pass for twins?

Haha, I never realized that before.

More than a few people? I'm assuming they're on this forum, huh. Not like anyone else knows who T.R. is. But I'm really hoping my assumption is wrong, I want my TR t-shirt!

But yeah, it does kinda look like him. *insert T.R. Rooster smilie here*

I'm actually starting to think that Harold and Rhonda from Hey Arnold! may have been influenced by Binky from Arthur and Lucy from Peanuts...

Both Harold and Binky are big, somewhat dim kids, both were held back (Harold apparently moreso if he's a 13-year-old fourth grader), both try to act like tough guys and bully others, yet both are big softies on the inside, and both are tremendously big crybabies when push comes to shove.

Rhonda and Lucy both tend to be self-absorbed, vain, egotistical, bossy, domineering, etc. Rhonda even kind of looks like she could be Lucy's big sister, lol.

Hmm...they do seem to be influenced on them, don't they? Though I haven't seen Hey Arnold! for years...

And the fact that every cartoon character looked like that back then. Felix the Cat... that horrible Boscoe and Honey duo.... I've even seen Pre-War Japanese cartoons that use the SAME character designs. I saw a Mickey-ified Tanuki once.

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are sorta based on that design. With one exception... the big red nose.

Bull and Axl Gator from Taz-Mania remind me a lot of Pinky and the Brain. Both Bull and the Brain are short, but intelligent and are always bonking their sidekicks on the head. And Axl and Pinky are agreeable and not too bright, and both of them are voiced by Rob Paulsen.
