I love the "To Morrow" song with the three Muppet replicas of Jim Henosn, Frank Oz, and Jerry Nelson. That, and when the two Muppets were singing to Florence Henderson in "Happy Together". Ooh, and all the Swedish Chef sketches. Can't think of one I didn't like.

I found the pilot to be interesting but I'm glad they didn't go on to make a series in its style. The only music they had was an electric mayhem number and even that wasn't particularly memorable to me.
And they spoiled the whole illusion for the audience by pulling the camera back to reveal the Muppeteers during the end credits.
But treated as a one off special it's a real treat to any devout Henson fan.
Thank you all for answering this thread of mine and if anyone else would like to share their fav season 1 moments with me just please do so.

I would have to say the At The Dance scenes were of my favorite in the first season. I also enjoyed all the Fozzie Bear sketches, his character was a little more rough back then, but it was kind of fun to see.

I thought it was funny and almost ironic that in the Ben Vereen episode, there is a reference to Al Jolson. If you haven't seen "The Jazz Singer" (the first "talkie"), you won't catch it. In "Mr. Cellophane", Ben gets down on his knees and imitates him from the song "Mammy". Did anyone else catch that?
