Yes indeedy. I think he's done just about all of Robert Zemeckis's movies, much like John Williams has done just about all of Spielberg's. I always like it when a director and composer consistently work together.

I would absolutely say yes to that.I have the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack(I highly recommend listening to it).Also: Evita,Lion King,Aladdin; Joseph...Dreamcoat,Phantom of the Opera,Cats,etc.... Where would any of these movie/plays be without their specific music,especially their overtures?

didn't mean it perhaps the way it came across...their music is excellent I own a number of them, but catalogues in MP3's as musical not soundtrack I see a soundtrack as the music that accompanies a movie, therefore would a musical which is all about the music telling the story have a soundtrack...after all with out the music it would be nothing? I realise this title is given to the CD's etc that come out with the music on but is it in fact a true soundtrack? Anyway it was just a pondering?

Just a quick reply.Have you heard any of these soundtracks? They all have brilliant music(and yes lyrics with them).Not all of the songs to these soundtracks have lyrics(and sorry if I like musicals).Listen to them if you haven't yet. The original thread mentioned no specifics on listing just soundtracks with instrumentals, just FYI,LOL. It just stated composers & soundtracks. I can name numerous soundtracks,that are mainly composed of songs(like Grease,Hair,etc...), but I haven't(because I was following how the thread was going). I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Passion of Christ.

The Passion of the Christ has amazing music...at least, the stuff I've heard from it! I haven't seen the movie or heard the entire soundtrack, but what I have heard blew me away!
The percussion in it reminded me of a lot of Brian Tyler stuff (Children of Dune). Anybody have the soundtrack to that? I do...I've got Inama Nushif about memorized because I listen to it so much. It's really an awesome song! I wish they would give Brian Tyler a chance at a big Hollywood movie.

I've never heard the song from School of Rock or seen the movie, but I've heard both are very good! I always like it when a film composer and recognized artist (such as Howard Shore and Annie Lennox) get together and write a wonderful song just for a movie. It's awesome!

I *love* that song. ***sigh*** On another note, I finally heard "Ordinary" for the first time today when I saw Train perform it on Good Morning America. The band kinda drowned out Pat's voice for a lot of the song, though, so I'll have to look up the lyrics...
