'Big Bird in Japan' & 'Put Down The Duckie' were my two faves as a kid, hence why the tapes I have of them still exist instead of being erased like many of my old SS tapes were.

I'm not excactly sure what the first SS special was,but I know that Julie On Sesame Street is about six years older than Christmas Eve On Sesame Street.1973 was when Julie On Sesame Street was first aired.

Julie Andrews. Has anybody seen this special? Is this the special where she first sang "When You Were a Tadpole" to Kermit?

No, that was either TMS or that "My Favorite Things" special (whatever that is).
