I remember one when Bob was telling a story about a muppet mother who was totally sad. For she had two sons. One was named Loud because he always screamed when he talked. He'd shout. "HI MOM!" causing the mom to scream in shock. Her other son was named Quiet for he always whispered and the mom could never understand him. One son who whispers and the other always shouting drove the poor mother bananas.

Then one day, Mumford came and said he would cast a spell so the mom could hear Quiet and Loud would no longer break her eardrums. And he cast a spell and left. The mom asked her boys to speak. But this time it was Loud whispering and Quiet doing the shouting. So it was basically the same for the poor mother.

Well, the only skit that I can recall, that is kinda close to quiet and loud is a Bert and Ernie skit. Where Ernie tries to fall asleep, keeping Bert awake.Ernie tries counting animated sheep & then he counts balloons, which inflate and explode, causing Bert to become frazzled.:smirk:

I remember another Bert & Ernie skit about quiet and loud where Bert whispered, "This is very quiet." And then Ernie asked him to repeat it, and then he whispered, "This is very quiet!" Ernie asked him to repeat it AGAIN, and he said, "I SAID THIS IS VERY QUIIIIIIIEEEEEEEET!" And Ernie said, "That's not quiet, Bert, that's loud." lol

How about when Guy Smiley went on vacation in the jungle. The tour guide keeps asking him to be quiet so he doesn't scare the animals away, but of course, Guy can't help himself. He walks right up to each animal, describing each one, and finally confirms what each animal is, in typical Guy Smiley game show style. He does this for a rabbit, a monkey and I think the last was a tiger. The tour guide runs away, but Guy just stands there as the tiger roars at him until he recognizes Guy from TV and asks to have a picture taken with him.

Or the Ernie and Bert sketch where Ernie puts the radio knob on Bert and turns Bert's volume up and down.

There was also the "Ernie's Fish Call" where he tries to teach Bert his fish call, but Bert can't yell loud enough until his last try to which a shark jumps in the boat and says "You called?" and laughs in Ernie-style, and Bert faints.

Don't know when these originally aired.

Oh yeah! I loved that "Fishy", line Ernie used. But sadly, in real life. Talking just normally while fishing would scare the fish away.
