Hi, just wondering what everyone's favorite number songs were. My favorites are The Alligator King, Count Up to 9, and She's a Real Martian Beauty(Number 9 Cutie).

Off the top of my head:

"My Favorite Number is Six" by Bert
"Martian Beuty(9)"
"Candy Man(8)"
"King of 8"
"Alligator King and his Seven Sons"
"Pinball Count"
"It's A Lovely 11 Morning"
"6 Cookies" by Cookie Monster
"Racing Cars Counting" (I don't know what else to call it)
"Ten Tiny Turtles"

I can't think of any others right now.

That's on my top two as well. That and the Falling Baker Films, starring Jim and Brian Henson. "Racing Cars Counting" is an okay name to give those cartoons. A lot of folks like to call them "Jazzy Spies", but there's really no one name to give them.

Here are other favorites of mine:
-"5 People in My Family"
-"As I Was Going to St. Ives (The "7" song)"
-Holy, Moley, "Eight Balls of Fur"
-"11" with those psychadelic squares (Does that count as a song?)
-1-20 with the Animated 4-Armed Yogi - in both English and Spanish
-16 Samba ("I Love You, Sweet 16")
-The Octopus Blues / The 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 Blues

Hmm...

"One and One Make Two", I think that was Bert & Ernie, I've liked.

Perhaps a bit off topic but I just remembered. A friend of mine wanted some information on another number song, I think it was "Eight Balls of Fur". Personally, I've got no idea what this one is, so If anyone can lend some info on this, I'd be much obliged.

On another note, my first post here. Yee-haw. Hi all.

I think my choice really has to be 'I Could Have Counted All Night' (which is on the album 'The Count's Countdown'). - if only because Louise Gold singing the part of The Countess does such an unbelievably unrecognisable accent. It's one of those occassions where if you didn't know it was her, you'd be very unlikely to guess it was her, even if you think you're pretty well aquainted with her talents!

Has the Count ever been involved with a rendition of "Count Me In" by
Gary Lewis and The Playboys? Every time I hear that song, I think of the Count, but I don't know if Sesame Street ever made a connection with it.

I always loved the classic, but sadly never seen again, 1-2-3-4-5 cartoon. It was totally psychedelic and it had numbers 1 thru 5 popping up in all kinds of artistic forms while background singers were singing beautifully.

Does anyone have this classic cartoon on tape? If so, I'd like to trade for it.
