Grover explains full and empty when he tries to use an empty phone booth, which fills itself with other monsters every time he tries to get in

Singing a song in the Salvation Army about being afraid, in the end as a duet with the monster who scared the other musicians away

The one from The World Of Jim Henson with the little girl. "What I love in the world is scratching my tummy. Could you scratch my tummy - OOH! OOH! Oh that's GOOOOD! Higher - OOH! You made a monster very happy."

Grover and an Anything Muppet man demonstrate adding and subtracting with tangerines. The Muppet man throws the tangerines away, breaking all the windows. "Now Grover, what do we have left?" "One MESS! Your mommy's gonna be real angry now."

The Easy Rhythm Rappin' Alphabet by Ferlengheti Donazetti, with Grover breakdancing

Grover passing a group of three big tough scary monsters with his flute. "Hey you! Wanna play?!" "Uhm, no thanks - I'm not that much of a social monster, ha ha ha..." He ends up playing an unexpected concert with the monsters.

When Grover sings the song about being all by himself and what he does when he is by himself. That song just melts my heart.

Whenever I hear it I want to give him BIG hug.

Wow. I just realized again how much I love my furry blue pal Grover.

Some of my favorites:

EVERY SuperGrover sketch--those always seemed to work for me as a kid and now as an "adult."

Grover vs. Fat Blue--whether as a waiter, a taxi driver, a telegram delivererererer...these two were the PERFECT foil for each other--as perfect as Bert and Ernie. LOVE Waiter Grover, and I can still remember my love for swinging kitchen doors that came from him going BACK into the kitchen..."hey Charlie, that customer's baaaack!"

Grover as a salesman for Kermit--especially selling the Weather Machine. Classic stuff.

Grover acting in "Monsterpiece Theater" sketches. Although Cookie always hosted the bits, Grover was usually acting in them--my favorites were "Upstairs Downstairs," "Taming of the Shoe," "The King and I" and "The Old Man and the C"

He's also in my two favorite Sesame Street books--The Everything In The Whole Wide World Museum and The Monster At The End Of This Book (which has unfortunately, recently been invaded and destroyed by that little furball Elmo).

My favorite Grover songs:

Fuzzy and Blue
Monster in the Mirror
Me
There's a Hole In the Bottom of the Sea
Climbing the Stairs
Around, Over, Under, and Through

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Grover!

Yeah, Grover is my favorite Sesame Street Muppet, i just wish we could still see more of him on it. Probably everything of his was funny. I definitely agree that the book "the Monster at the End of This Book" was so hilarious. All his sketches with fat blue are great. But my favorite one with him is when he's in his bed talking about pretending (first he's on the moon, then the desert): it's sooo funny! Grover rocks!

Besides the "In the Box" sketch, were there other bits from Season 1 involving Kermit and Green Grover? I'm assuming there must have been from Kermit's reaction to Grover's offer to help: "I figured you might".

Grover was not identified by name.

Hello, everyboddeeeeeee!
Some of my favorites have already been stated, but here are some others.
*Grover as a pizza delivery guy bringing Mr. Johnson a pizza with hammers and saws instead of ham and sausages.
* The Mexican restaurant bit, but because the meals are different numbers ordered which are all destroyed except for the number 1.
*Mr. Johnson ordering the #9 special of the day after Grover recited the menu, which turns out to be a number 9. The really funny part of this sketch is that Mr. Johnson asks Grover to take it back because it wasn't cooked to his liking.
* I Stand Up Tall and Proud.
Now here's one that you classic buffs might be able to help me with. On Saturday, August 31, the Unpaved episode included a sketch with Herry and Grover where Herry told Grover to keep a secret, the alphabet! Grover brought in some other monsters and recited the alphabet to them. Herry came back, after overhearing the conversation, and told Grover that he said the ABC's well but couldn't keep a secret just as well. My question is this, do you guys remember a monster character in this sketch named Rosemary? If you do, please described how she looked like to me. BTW: Gonzo, "Come along without, Come along within, They've not seen nothing like the Mighty Quinn."

PS: If noone else responds to my post and this thread languishes, just call me the Killer of Threads.

I have to agree with everything that was said here: Grover the Waiter/Super Grover/"Monster in the Mirror." He's definately one of my favorite Muppets. My sister's too. But I thought I'd comment on the blue guy (Fat Blue/Mr. Johnson/Whatever the heck his name is). He never was really given much of an identity. Actually, I always thought he and Simon Soundman were the same person. It was kind of interesting to find that they were brothers.
